A judge agreed that banks can be sued for profiting from sex-trafficking

The US Virgin Islands Attorney General Sued JPMorgan Chase for a Sex-Trafficking Activities on Little St. James Island

Neither of the banks would comment on the passages that have just been made public. But after the US Virgin Islands attorney general sued JPMorgan Chase in December — claiming that the bank should have known about Epstein’s activities on Little St. James Island, the island he owned off the coast of St. Thomas — the bank moved to dismiss the suit.

The women say that there was special treatment given to the sex-trafficking venture, which allowed it to continue its operation and sexual abuse.

The US Virgin Islands settled their lawsuit against the estate for over 105 million dollars in November, along with an agreement that will end business operations there.

After a family reported that Epstein had sexually abused her daughter in 2005, police in Palm Beach opened an investigation that led to a guilty plea three years later. Under the terms of the state’s deal with him, he was forced to register as a sex predator and pay back money to his victims.

Both JP Morgan Chase andDeutsche refused to discuss the ruling when contacted by NPR. Both banks have denied having knowledge of Epstein’s alleged crimes.

The settlement states that 50% of the proceeds from the sale of Little St. James island should go to the territory.

Beauty and the Beast: When everything breaks l[o]ose is peace, I will come to Epstein’s island and say hello to Snow White

After working for JP Morgan Chase, he became the CEO of the British bank Barclays. He stepped down when the regulators revealed his ties with him. According to the regulators, they did not give a findings about whether or not she knew of the alleged crimes.

In the newly unsealed passages, the US Virgin Islands government claims Staley sent emails from Epstein’s island in the fall of 2009, when Epstein was incarcerated in Florida.

“So when all hell breaks l[o]ose, and the world is crumbling, I will come here, and be at peace,” Staley allegedly said in the email. I have been in the hot tub with a glass of wine. This is an amazing place. This is truly amazing. Next time, we’re here together. I owe you much. I’m very appreciative of our friendship. I have a lot of profound ones.

The filing states that in July of 2010 Staley sent an email with the subject “Say hi to Snow White.” I would like to hear about the next character you would like. When Staley said “Beauty and the Beast,” Epstein replied: “Well one side is available.” Virgin Islands lawyers claim references to Disney princesses were code words for young women.

The company’s move to focus on Staley caused a backlash from an attorney for the U.S. Virgin Islands. She said Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase, was aware of the abuse.

The suits were brought by at least one of the girls and were on behalf of all the other girls.

The suits can move forward to examine other legal questions after Raskoff denied other claims made in the motions to dismiss.

In 2008 he was sentenced to 13 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to procuring an under age prostitution in Florida. The case had been well-documented by local and national media.

“My billionaire client was known as a sex trafficker by Jamie DimonJ,” the businessman said, according to CNBC. “Staley knew, Dimon knew, JPMorgan Chase knew.”
