Kate Bond, who is the strike captain for the Screen Actors Guild, said that she isn’t certain about a quick outcome.

“It feels really important to go out there and support them because visibility on the picket line is important to getting the kind of leverage and deal that they should be getting,” Kashyap said. “Hollywood doesn’t happen unless they get back to work.”
The writer who wrote Special is still planning to show up. Kashyap said her union wouldn’t have been able to cut a good deal if it hadn’t been for the actors’ support.
I hope the strikers get the same protection and gains that we did, because I think it’s time for them to go back to work.
I know that we are all very eager to go back to work, and I am excited to start working again. But I also feel for everyone who is currently looking for work.

Something that will say, “Hey, we deserve to be paid for this because this is TV, we should be paid for this.” I think that the gains are significant. I believe that film and TV is being hijacked by tech overlords, who want to turn film and TV into something we eat. I’d say that the first month or two, I was able to write. But towards the second half of it or so, there was just so much anxiety and emotion built up in terms of just trying to figure out where the strike was going and trying to continue to make ends meet, and also just worrying about being out on the lines and the uncertainty of it all, that I just wasn’t really writing very much.
The five months were definitely hard. I like to write. It’s one of the things that I like to do. I still do it on the side when I’m not working.
I picked up a musical instrument. We were on STRIKE for a long time, so I decided to buy a banjo, learn how to play the banjo and forget how to play the banjo.
